It’s rare that I give specifics in a public forum about any of the websites that I build, however the following SEO Case Study clearly demonstrates the importance of SEO and the power of search.
advancedfitness.org contains a new website that was launched at the beginning of April 2013. In just over a month, it has attracted over 5000 new visitors, and as of today (24 May) it has 13 keyphrases ranking #1 on Google, furthermore according to Google Webmaster Tools it has 139 keyphrases ranking in positions 1-10. According to Google Analytics, on average each visitor spends 3.08 mins on the website and views 2.36 pages per visit. Over 50% of visitors browse the site using mobile or tablet devices, so it’s just as well all our SEO friendly websites are mobile friendly.
It’s a phenomenal success and testimony to developing unique content and the importance of SEO and modern techniques; using a mixture of broad and long tail keyphrases strategically placed throughout the site. However, I would like to point out that while the current live site was only launched in April, the domain itself was first used in 2000. This will of course also play a part in the current success, and shows the value of older domains with authority. Google of course likes websites that have stood the test of time. Saying that, according to opensiteexplorer.org it only has a total of 37 links from 6 domains.
